Mrs. Stancliffe’s Rose Cottage Bed & Breakfast
has been successful for many years. Her Guests
(nearly all women) return
year after year. Her next door neighbor, the
elderly, silver-tongued, Bud “Bud the Stud”
Davis believes they come to spend time with him
in romantic liaisons. The prim and proper Mrs.
Stancliffe steadfastly denies this, but really
doesn’t do anything to prevent it. She
reluctantly accepts the fact that “Bud the Stud”
is, in fact, good for business. Her other
neighbor and would-be suitor Henry Mitchell is a
retired chemist who has developed a blue pill
called “Venusia,” after Venus the goddess of
love, to increase the libido of menopausal
women. The pill has not been tested. Add to the
guest list three older women: Victoria Ambrose,
a romance novelist whose personal life seems to
be lacking in romance; Hillary Hudson a friend
of Henry’s who has agreed to test the Venusia:
and Charmaine Beauregard, a “Southern Belle”
whose libido does not need to be increased! Bud
gets his hands on some of the Venusia pills and
the fun begins, as attempts to entertain all
three women! The women mix up Bud’s Viagra pills
with the Venusia, and we soon discover that it
has a strange effect on men: it gives them all
the symptoms of menopausal women, complete with
hot flashes, mood swings, weeping and
irritability! When the mayhem settles down, all
the women find their lives moving in new and
surprising directions. |

A
feisty parolee follows her dreams, based on a
page from an old travel book, to a small town in
Wisconsin and finds a place for herself working
at Hannah's Spitfire Grill. It is for sale but
there are no takers for the only eatery in the
depressed town, so newcomer Percy suggests to
Hannah that she raffle it off. Entry fees are
one hundred dollars and the best essay on why
you want the grill wins. Soon, mail is arriving
by the wheelbarrow full and things are
definitely cookin' at the Spitfire Grill.
"An abundance of warmth, spirit and
goodwill!...Some of the most engaging and
instantly infectious melodies I've heard in an
original musical in some time." - USA Today |

It’s the 1950s,
hula-hoops are in high demand, and so is Little
Red Riding Hood! Wise Prince Jason (winner of
the Math Olympics and the Nobel Prize), Strong
Prince Justin (who can bench press his own
mother) and ordinary Loud Prince Frank all want
to woo Red Riding Hood. So the king and queen
hire the Fairy Godmother to set three tasks for
the princes. Only the prince who can find the
missing girl, defeat the dragon and awaken a
castle visitor from her slumber earns the right
to woo Wed Widing Hood ... that is, Red Riding
Hood! Alas, Little Red’s couch-potato parents
don’t want to lose their little girl. How else
will they get their cookies delivered to
Grandmother? So they hire the evil queen to
thwart the Fairy Godmother’s contest. Luckily,
Little Red Riding Hood's two sisters — Big Green
Riding Hood and Medium Purple Riding Hood — help
balance out the situation. Complete with the big
bad wolf and a sock-hopping ‘50s score, this
adventure is guaranteed to end in
happily-ever-after laughter for audiences of all
ages! |

Hank Williams: Lost Highway is the
spectacular musical biography of the legendary
singer-songwriter frequently mentioned alongside
Louis Armstrong, Robert Johnson, Duke Ellington,
Elvis and Bob Dylan as one of the great
innovators of American popular music. The play
follows Williams' rise from his beginnings on
the Louisiana Hayride to his triumphs on the
Grand Ole Opry to his eventual self-destruction
at twenty-nine. Along the way, we are treated to
indelible songs like "I'm So Lonesome I Could
Cry," "Move It on Over" and "Hey, Good Lookin',"
which are given fresh and profound resonance set
in the context of Williams' life.
Lost Highway transports its audience, and
communicates the inspiring message of the beauty
and richness of Williams' songs…forceful,
clear-eyed, moving, impressive." —Rolling
Stone. |

It's four days before Christmas in the
tiny town of Tinsel, Texas, and a
colorful parade of eccentric guests
arrive at the Snowflake Inn and deck the
halls with holiday hilarity. Trina, the
harried yet upbeat innkeeper has more
than she can handle coping with these
nuttier-than-a-fruitcake lodgers. Hoyt
and his sister, Donna Jo, make the
mistake of trying to end a thirty-year
feud between their curmudgeonly aunts
with sidesplitting results. Ainsley and
Lenora, self-involved actors from a
budget touring production of A
Christmas Carol, descend on the Inn
to fulfill a promise, leaving comedic
chaos in their wake. Add to this
Yuletide mayhem an ill-advised romantic
rendezvous between Mrs. Claus and one of
Santa's elves, a demanding guest who
refuses to leave, not to mention a tipsy
housekeeper, and it's clear it will take
more than a kiss under the mistletoe to
keep Trina's spirits merry and bright.
But a spur-of-the-moment Christmas Eve
wedding that brings together the
fabulous Futrelle sisters and their best
friend, Raynerd, takes a surprising and
delightful turn that leads to a laugh-'til-your-sides-ache
climax, changing all their lives
forever. |
