Handbuilding
with Clay

This workshop is an excellent place to start an
adventure into clay. Whether your goal is to
continue in handbuilding or develop
wheel-throwing skills, this class will provide
important groundwork and vital information about
the medium. Students will learn pinch, coil and
slab methods by making a planter, mug and vase.
Glaze and Firing Techniques

February 7 & 9; 12 & 23, 2012
Tuition: $100 plus supplies
Students will be given instruction in glazing
and firing techniques as well as studio safety
practices necessary to work independently.
Guidelines for the HCAF Cooperative Ceramic
Studio will be introduced. The Cooperative
Studio program allows ceramic artists to
purchase studio time – participants must have
the ability to work unaided. For more
