Just Do It!

Non-members $220
How many times do we say “what if I
had done it another way”, but fear
got in the way of possibly “ruining
the work”? Students will be
encouraged to push beyond their
current boundaries to explore
unlimited possibilities in their
creative potential. Get away from
that “perfect look” and have fun
exploring freedom in style and
techniques of contemporary painting
and drawing. “Anything goes,” from
abstraction to objectivity, with a
variety in media, from oil to
acrylic, pastel, charcoal, collage,
and other materials. |

Students will be exposed to
demonstrations, discussions about
their work, and other contemporary
artists who have broken through
traditional concepts concerning the
parameters of painting and drawing.
This class is open to any artist who
wishes to extend themselves
creatively. Intermediate and/or
experience with the artistic
endeavor is required. |

T=Linda
Lang received a BA in art from The
University of North Texas and an MFA
from The University of Texas at San
Antonio, with a concentration in
painting and drawing. She taught in
the public school system as an art
educator and continues to teach
adult art in San Antonio. Lang has
shown in numerous invitational and
juried exhibitions in San Antonio
and surroundings, including the HCAF,
The 1550 Gallery, The University of
Incarnate Word, Joan Grona Gallery,
BlueStar Contempory Art Gallery.
Internationally known artist Alberto
Mijangos has been a great influence
in her art beliefs and approach to
the artistic endeavor. |
