Once-a-Week Oil Painting Class

Beginning Wednesday, March 10, 2010

Tuition paid monthly
HCAF Members $65; Non-members $75

This class in oil painting is for the beginner to intermediate level of student. Classes will be held weekly on Wednesday afternoon from 1 – 3 pm. Students may register month by month. When students feel they are ready to advance to a higher level, a new class will be formed with the beginning class taking on new students. Students will learn the basics of oil painting and have the opportunity to develop their skills while choosing either landscapes or animals (wildlife or pets) as their subject. When students are ready to advance they may choose to do portraits.


Eric Forlee spent his childhood and youth in a small village in southeast China before moving to Zimbabwe, Africa. The last few years’ political and economical turmoil in Zimbabwe forced him and family to leave the continent that he loved so much. He now resides in Kerrville, Texas. Among his many achievements in his art career are Artist of the year by Mzuri Wildlife Fund 1985 & 2003; Artist of the year by National Wildlife Education Foundation 1989; Artist of the year by Sacramento Wildlife Fund Foundation 1990 &1995; First Place Judge’s Choice by S.C.I. 1994; and Artist of the year by Chicago Wildlife Fund Foundation 1994 and people‘s choice in 1995.
