Most recently, he has been spending time painting in the field (Plein Air), recognition being received when he was one 50 artists invited to paint in Rocky Mountain National Park for a week and then have a showing of created work. From the 50 artists, he was one of 10 artists who received recognition by becoming the first signature members of the Rocky Mountain Plein Air Painters.
