Instructor: Susan Ogilvie
LANDSCAPES: COLOR, FORM & ENERGY
October 9 - 13, 2006 |
|
This is a comprehensive workshop for pastel
painters who are interested in improving their
painting and ”seeing” skills, developing
stronger compositions, and moving beyond the
literal sense of the landscape. By establishing
a more personal approach to using shape, value,
and color, the student will learn to create a
dynamic, sensitive, and uniquely personal
statement about the subject. Painting from
nature, exploring different support surfaces,
and creating compositions in the studio from
field studies are at the heart of the class. The
instructor’s goal with each student is to
“encourage exploration and self-discovery,
motivate artistic growth, and act as the safety
net!”
Tution: HCAF Members $425; Non-members $475 |
