This class will teach the techniques of layering
with acrylics, incorporating collage within the
painting such as decorative papers, photographs,
newspaper and magazine material, drawings and
also the creation of unique collage papers.
Discussions will include design and composition
principles, developing concept, and daily
critiques. There will be frequent demonstrations
of the layering and collage process.
Participants need to have a knowledge of basic
painting techniques but do not need to have
worked in acrylics.

Bonnie Prouty has exhibited in Michigan and
Texas and many regional and national
exhibitions. She is a graduate of Michigan State
University and Eastern Michigan University and
has studied with many outstanding painters. She
paints with all varieties of water media. She is
currently represented by galleries in Petoskey,
Michigan and Rockport, Texas
