LIFE CASTING AND MASK MAKING
Mar 25 & 26, 2006
Sat 9 am – 4 pm
Sunday 9 am – 12 pm.

A workshop in which the participants have hands on instruction in the art of Life Casting, the oldest form of documented portraiture. The illustrious, and sometimes macabre, history is explored, while two personal Face Casts are created. Three artworks are derived from these “initial” castings, the ultimate - a fired work in clay.

Tuition: HCAF Members $145; Non-members $155
Supply Fee: $15

Ann Lyneah Curtis began her professional artistic career at 19. Leaving her home in upstate NY, Ann moved to New Orleans where she honed her talents as a portrait artist. From New Orleans she came to San Antonio. Here, Ann discovered life casting, an art she feels is truly the “Ultimate Portrait”. She now creates custom face and body castings from coast to coast.
