INTRODUCTION TO GOURD ART 101
March 15, 2006;   9 am - 3 pm

This is a beginning class. Students will be provided with a cleaned, drilled gourd that will be formed into a pot. It will be stained the color of your choice, sealed and a pine needle rim will be added. A supply kit is available for purchase from the instructor at the workshop.

Tuition:  HCAF Members $65;  Non-members $75
Supply kit: $20 


GOURD ART DOLLS
April 19, 2006;   10 am - 3 pm

The project for this class will be a wrapped art doll. A polyclay face will be formed and baked in class, then attached to the gourd. The doll will be wrapped, dressed, painted, etc. A supply kit is available for purchase from the instructor at the workshop.

Bev Tomeck comes from an artistic family background and is motivated by things in nature.  She has been making jewelry since 1990 and discovered gourd art four years ago. She draws inspiration from Native American design.
