A step-by-step course for artists to learn the
tricks of the trade. This sequence of four
one-day classes will teach an introduction to
Photoshop with understanding basic processes of
importing, scanning, sizing, image management
and short-cuts. Students will learn to use the
Photoshop toolbox of brushes, type tool,
selection tools, etc. then move on to working
with layers, filters, levels and screens.
Prerequisite: Basic familiarity with the
Macintosh computer OR familiarity with any
Windows graphics program.

Lisle Drake has had an artistic career that
has covered a variety of fields, including
jewelry, fiber arts and computer design. In 1982
Lisle’s work in fibers received a National
Endowment for the Arts award for excellence in
design. Most recently, Lisle has been focused on
a multi-layered process of creating original
drawings, scanning them into digital format,
then using software tools to produce images with
strong emotional and visual appeal.
