2012 Young Actor's Camp

Greek Myths
The HCAF 2012 Theatre Camps at The Point Theatre offer an interactive experience that gives students a chance to explore Greek myths, the basis for modern and contemporary theatre. Using Greek myths as a central theme, this theatre camp will be useful for continuing to develop skill sets through stage movement; design of costumes, set and makeup; and rehearsal and performance. In addition, the history of Greek Theatre will be explored through a variety of hands-on theatre seminars that will be taught by HCAF staff. Each session will end with a performance of a Greek myth by each group of campers.

Session I: June 11-15
Session II: June 18-22

Ages 7 – 12

$175 per Session

Camp Hours: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Campers should bring a sack lunch and a bottled water every day.

Enrollment is limited. Registration is open until classes are filled.

Teen Acting Workshop
Students will work and grow artistically with skilled coaches one on one and in groups exploring characterization, voice, and stage movement. By utilizing powerful scenes and monologues, students will continue to solidify their performing arts skills through seminars and rehearsals that will culminate in a performance showcase on Friday afternoon.

$175

The workshop is from 9am to 5 pm with a lunch break.
