The Smith-Ritch Point Theatre is an impressive 722-seat outdoor theatre seated on the banks of the beautiful Guadalupe River. Operating as the longest running outdoor theatre in Texas, “The Point” started in the summer of 1959. The summer season includes a musical and two comedy/dramas which feature talented volunteers. The Point is a true Texas Hill Country gem and a summer tradition for many families.

Comedies and/or dramas are produced in this intimate 150 seat black box theatre in the spring and fall. Point Theatre productions are staged with volunteer casts and crew. Whether you want to be in the limelight or assist backstage, we have a place for you at The Point.
